January meeting

I hope everyone had some wonderful holidays.

It looks like some of our ladies have been really busy!

The January meeting had a program by Sharon. She did a demo on 5 inch squares based on Pat Speth's Nickel quilt book.  Great program. We are now having a 4 patch swap and half square swap based on this program.

This is one of Sharon's quilts...lovely.

Here's the church quilt for this year.  This is what our stars ended up looking like.  Don't you love it?  The setting is great, I can't wait to see it quilted.

Some more quilts from Sharon

This is Glenda's quilt.

A lot of different things Diana's  been doing.

A sweet pillow,

Doll clothes for her granddaughter's dolls.

Deanna did this cute baby quilt

Rita's great yellow and black quilt.

Here's some Quilt of Valor quilts

Kimberly made this for her son.  Love the hexies!

Here's Sue's quilt.

Sandy made this beauty.

Next month, our program  will be working on heart pillows.  Come and have fun. Until next time, happy stitching.

The December meeting

We had a great meeting and lots of show and tell. It was a fun meeting. Here's some of our members with some things they have been working on.

Cathy B. with her cute animal quilt.  So sweet.

I think these are all gifts....

Some blocks Ruth has been working on.

This was the Garland Quilt Guild Raffle quilt that Sally won.  Lucky girl!

A Christmas quilt by Sally.

This is Linda B. Christmas quilt.

Rita made about 13 of these table runners.

Diana was busy with Christmas gifts.

These two are Quilt of Valor quilts that the ladies from Watt a Find have worked on.  Beautiful quilts.

The corner stones on this Quilt of Valor were going to be in a U.S. flag but there were mistakes in the stitching so they were donated to shops for Quilt of Valor quilts. I think this is a wonderful idea.

Great Texas quilt!

We had some fun times at this meeting. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a wonderful New Year holiday.  I'm looking forward to some great sewing time in the next year.  See you in a few weeks, please bring your show and tell. Until next time, happy stitching.
