April meeting

This month we did not have a program but we had lots of show and tell. Alot was worked on at retreat,  Here are some of Diana's projects.
This one is for one of her niece's named Pam Pam.

These two are the one hour basket project that Sharon H. shared with everyone at retreat.

Another bag by Lori.

This is my cosmetic bag.  Glenda made one a few months ago and I loved it. She had left over hexagons and scraps  that she gave to us for anyone that wanted them.  I got them and made this lovely bag. This was a tutorial at our last retreat by Sharon H.  I enjoy making these bags.

Here's my Texas bag I made with an old blue jean skirt.  It was my favorite skirt so I had to recycle it.

I finished this Christmas tablerunner and it is now ready for this year!

Glenda's cute apron.

Here's her great jacket she made. She made hers shorter than everyone else.  This is made with a sweatshirt as the base.  Mary Jo taught this great class.

Here's one of Glenda's beautiful scrap quilts.

Here's Sandy's succulent quilt she made.

Another quilt by Sandy.

This is Darla's wonderful red, white and blue happy quilt.

Here's some of Martha's great projects.

Some more projects from Diana.

Susan's beautiful quilt. She's giving this to her daughter to auction off at her church.

Sharron B made this Nickel quilt. She participated in the 4 patch and half square triangle swap for the Sunny Lane quilt.  She made it differently and it's great too.

Here are some quilt tops Linda D. is working on for a friend and his family.

Cathy B made this wonderful quilt, it is a Sue Spargo pattern.

This is Diane T.'s first quilt. She got some of the blocks from a swap.

Another first quilt for Diane. T.

Lori made these cute crocheted towels and gave them to Susan for the church auction.

Jeannette's quilt backing.

Here's the front of the quilt.

This is a row in the Row By Row Christmas quilt swap she is doing.

This was not at the meeting the other night but I wanted y'all to see this beauty.  Several of us made blocks for this lovely butterfly quilt last year and gave it to the lovely lady below named Erin.  This is in the Chapel at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas at the Oncology Clinic.  Erin is a lovely lady and she is the nurse navigator for Presbyterian Hospital. She is the leader of an organization called On Butterflies Wings and she makes up goodie baskets to give to the breast cancer patients going through chemotherapy.  Her baskets contain butterflies, hand lotion, mints, and will also have crocheted hats. I am making some hats for her and if you would like to participate and have any to donate I will be happy to give them to her.  If you also have any goodies to put in her baskets, please let me know.I was thinking about the small pillows like we made a few years ago that Martha got us to make....Maybe me can make small heart pillows with butterflies on them.  Any more ideas would be most welcome.   Thank you so much.

That's it for now ladies, get busy and bring your projects next month.  Happy stitching!
