The September meeting

The September meeting as our annual meeting to announce the new officers and vote on our budget for the next year.  We also played Left, Right, Center for fat quarters. That was alot of fun.

Here are the potholders for this month.  Aren't these cute?!

October is our last month to celebrate the potholders and the theme for October is Christmas. Have fun with that!

Here's some Show and Tell from our members.

This is a quilt I finished this month. I did the top 14 years ago and it was a shop challenge for the quilt shop I was working at.  This has 2000 fabric for the backing. I call this Happy 14.

This was also from about the same time.  This was a quilt top I did as a sample to show and  teach teenagers to quilt.  I finished this quilt this month too.

This is Thimbleberries fabric and I made it using the Yellow Brick Road pattern.  I call this Green Brick Road.

This is my One Block Wonder quilt and I call this "The Empress."

Martha has been working on modern quilt blocks and it looks like she's having fun...

Here's two of Sharon's quilts for Covers for Kids.  Good job, Sharon!

This is Judith's beautiful basket quilt.

Lori did this great quilt of Valor quilt.

Joyce's beautiful butterfly quilt. She's gifting this to her granddaughter. The butterfly blocks were so pretty and fun for our swap.

Here are some Cover for Kids quilts by Diane.

Great job, Diane!

Here's one of Sue's quilts. She made this from shirts and fabrics she purchased from the thrift store.  Way to go, Sue.

Here's another beauty from Sue.

Here's Sharon's nipple, oh, I mean Nickel quilt....(You had to be at the meeting to get this joke!)

This is Darla's beautiful quilt...

Here's a Christmas quilt that Jackie and the quilters from Royse City Library are raffling off.  Jackie will have raffle tickets for this at the next meeting and this will be your last chance to get these.

Jackie quilted this monster star for a customer.  It was an old family quilt and the backing was a king size sheet. She really worked hard on this one and it looks great.

Deanna's Civil War Quilt.  This was an exchange a few of us were in on last year.  Let's do more!

Ok, ladies, that's it for this month. Get busy and bring show and tell to our October meeting.  See you soon. Happy Stitching!
