Christmas Party 2013

Our Christmas party this year was a little different. We had baked potatoes, soup, chili, salads and desserts.   Everything I tasted was wonderful...(as usual). We not only have great quilters but we have great cooks too....

These are the blocks for the block challenge that Judy B hosted.  She gave away a wonderful quilt kit to the winner.  The block on the bottom right was chosen the winner and it belonged to Linda W.  Great blocks girls!  Thank you, Judy, for the generous gift.

Here's the Christmas ornaments that were made and exchanged at the meeting.  Lots of different ideas here.  This was fun!

Some of the ladies.

Cookies on every table....

Show and tell.  We were told to bring Christmas quilts to show and it didn't matter if they were old or new or if they had been shown before..

You've seen this one done by several people this year and this one is mine.  It now hangs on the wall behind my tree and I love this quilt.  It was so much fun to make...

This is the back of the quilt..

This was Glenda's Christmas quilt. She did this one as a Pizza box project and some of you helped her dress her gingerbread men/women.  Such a cute quilt.

Karen tried to hide on these but I could still see her!  These two quilts started her off on her quilting journey. She said her and her sister made these together.  Good job!

Linda W with her Christmas star.

A wool wallhanging or Penny Quilt by Linda.

A little Christmas sampler.

Rita made this for her new bathroom.  It is a toilet seat cover and no, it doesn't stand for dump!  Ha, ha, you really didn't think I'd go there, huh?

Rita's Sunbonnet Sue Christmas quilt.  This was a Turning Twenty quilt pattern.

Diana made this chenille wallhanging.  I think she said it had four panels in it...

She also made these Christmas towels

Sharon made this one a long time ago and is giving it to her sister.  Pretty quilt.

Martha made this redwork quilt a while back too but this is one of her favorites.

Here's Martha Snowman quilt. We did a swap about two years ago for this one.  Such a cute quilt.

Diana aka: The Pajama Queen, made this stocking quilt.  Some of you are in a swap for this one too.

Susan made this for her grandson

Judy made this pretty poinsettia star.

Here's her Jacob's Ladder quilt

Sally made this one for a new great grandbaby.

Lovely quilting shown on the back of Sally's quilt.

Last, but not least, Nancy made this Log Cabin beauty.

Merry Christmas to y'all.  See you next year.
